Work with Us

Let's build tech power together

Girls and women don’t simply leave tech. They get pushed out. We work with the people and institutions who can keep girl geeks in, from school to industry.

How we deliver

Pick a format that fits your calendar and budget. Then browse our programs to choose the flavour — girls coding, games, hackathons, making, aviation and more.

  • Short workshop

~2–2.5 hours — e.g. MissMakesCode for mums and daughters.

  • Day workshop

One full day — deeper workshops at school or in the workplace.

  • Multi-day

    E.g. Wed–Friday or a weekend — a hackathon (#SheHacks) or a game jam (Play Party).

  • Week program

Work experience — real projects and industry mentors for high school girls, run with a school or in your workplace.

  • Multi-month series

Career Incubator — mentoring, networking and hands-on training over ~6 months.

  • Build a community

Ongoing / weekly cohorts — e.g. AI High for high-school girl geeks.

  • Speaking · consulting · mentoring

By arrangement — keynotes, advice, and expert swaps with your team.

Schools

We help schools keep girls in digital tech — and show that building is not scrolling.

From subject choice to the jump into further study, girls get pushed out of tech pathways early. We partner with teachers, careers advisers and school leaders on programs that keep girl geeks in.

Ask us about MissMakesCode workshops, AI High, SheHacksSwift work experience, and the formats we can run with your school community.

Under the Australian Curriculum, tech is compulsory until the end of Year 8, but some schools let students skip it. Check your timetable against the curriculum.

Libraries

Libraries are where curious girl geeks already gather.

We partner with libraries on workshops, book programs and community events that build tech power — coding clubs, maker sessions, and the Girl Geeks book series.

If you run programs for families, teens or schools in your catchment, we can bring a ready format or design something with you.

Corporates

Keep your women in tech. They’ll help keep the next generation in.

The push-out doesn’t stop at school. Women leave tech at every career stage, and the women who stay usually want to stop it happening to the girls coming after them. We build programs that retain and grow your women, from early career through to executive leadership, and give your people a way to bring girls through.

That can mean sponsoring SheHacks or AI High, commissioning work experience (like AGL Girls in Energy), a Girl Geek in Residence (NAB), workshops, mentoring, or a campaign like Microsoft Mondays or Sunsilk.

Women in tech

So no one is the only girl geek in the room.

We keep girl geeks in tech and connect women through programs, community and industry pathways — from early career to leadership.

Join as a participant, mentor, speaker or partner. Help us build an alumni community that links school participants with women in industry.

Conferences

Keynotes, panels and conference collaborations.

We make the case that building is not scrolling — and that women and girls should shape the technology that shapes their lives.

Book us for keynotes, panels, MC roles, or a conference program strand.

Government

Local, state and federal partners on programs, research and policy.

We deliver funded education programs and bring evidence to the debate on who controls the technology women and girls use.

Right now we’re asking governments to act on the Diversity in STEM Review, back it with investment in what already works, and make sure every student is taught tech until the end of Year 8, as the curriculum requires.

Media

Expert voices on keeping girl geeks in — and who controls tech.

For interviews, op-eds and commentary on women and girls in STEM, AI, education and gender equity in technology — as seen on ABC’s Download This Show, The Project and The Today Show.

Email hello@girlgeekacademy.com and we’ll connect you with the right spokesperson.
