She Makes Games – Girl Geeks Making Cool Things

31st of January 2015 @ The Arcade, Melbourne (Level 1, 71-75 City Road, Southbank VIC)

SheMakesGames ran on Saturday the 31st of January and saw 50 women creating their own video game in only one day!
This event was run in partnership with our friends, Girls Make Games who we were very lucky to have onboard as one of the core facilitators! Laila Shabir is a renowned educator in the game development space and joined us to help level up all our budding designers.

As it is our policy to say no to beer and pizza at hackathons, we organised an incredible feed for our attendees:

Poached free-range chicken baguettes with citrus & yogurt aioli, fresh herbs, cucumber & organic greens.
For the vegetarian & halal:  baguettes with avocado smash, citrus & fresh herbs, cherry toms, vintage cheddar & organic greens .
(For the vegans, hummus instead of vintage cheddar)
The gluten free, we can do as a poached chicken salad.

Something Small & Something sweet:

Individual de-constructed Pav’s, with fresh berries & fruit + little pots of double cream! (GF)
For the vegans I will do date, orange, cacao & pistachio bliss balls + the fresh fruit & berries.
